It’s Friday! How was your week? Any plans for the weekend? Today I have some crackers for you. Do you make your own crackers? Some of you might think it’s a waste of time, but I like making things like this. The ones here are super simple and don’t take long to prepare.
These crackers are pretty crunchy, which makes them addictive. They will be great with some sort of dip or you can totally eat them on their own like I did.
Add some sesame seeds or other seeds. Use some herbs and spices. Customize them to fit your taste.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (or other seeds), optional
- 4 tablespoons sunflower oil + more to brush them
- 1/2 cup water
- sea salt to sprinkle on top
Directions:
Combine the flour, salt and sesame seeds in a bowl. Add the oil and then start adding water and stirring with a spoon until the dough forms (you might need more or less water). Knead a few times so it will come together. Cover with a towel and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180C degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Divide the dough into two parts (it’s easier to work with it this way). Sprinkle your work surface with some flour. Roll the dough as thin as you can. Cut into square/rectangular pieces and transfer to the baking sheet. Brush with a little bit of oil and sprinkle some sea salt on top.
Bake them for about 15 minutes or until they have browned to your liking.
Enjoy!
These sound and look fantastic….problem is (and its a good problem ), I probably will devour them all !!!

I just finished making these with my black sesame seeds. They turned out beautifully, crisp and light just as you said. I will be making them again, no doubt changing the flavour with other seeds. Many thanks!
